What surprises new arrivals
Roundabouts
City entrances and business parks string roundabouts together, often with several lanes. Choosing your lane on the approach and signalling your exit are the two habits that change everything.
A centre with limited access
Much of the historic centre is pedestrianised or access-restricted. Knowing where to park and how to go around the centre saves a lot of detours.
Two motorways meeting
The A8 and A51 meet near Aix: one towards Nice and Italy, the other towards Marseille. The interchanges require reading direction signs early enough.
The commute to Marseille
Many Aix residents work in Marseille, or the other way round. The rush-hour commute is often the first goal of our programmes.
